Our System 41 roller pollen screen for double doors uses our finest available mesh across a twin cassette system — one cassette mounted to each side of the door, screens pulling to the middle and holding together via opposing magnetic strips. Most customers fit their roller pollen screen in around 30 to 40 minutes. Here's how it works.

Measure Your Door Opening
Measure the full width and height of the double door opening. Download our Technical Specification (PDF) for dimensional guidance. A cassette is installed to each side of the door — the opening width determines how each panel is cut; the height determines the guide rail lengths.

Configure on the Product Page
Enter your measurements and choose frame colour (white, brown or anthracite grey). Select your fixing method — recess or face fix. We recommend adding at least one pair of sliding bolts, which lock one sliding bar in place so the other can close cleanly against it. A second pair is also available to secure both sides. Note: screw fix is required — no-drill is not available with pollen mesh.

We Make It in Our UK Factory
Your pollen screen is hand-built to your exact specification. Both cassettes, the top and bottom guides, and all closing components arrive cut to size and ready to fit. Download our Installation Guide (PDF) in advance — you'll need only a drill and screwdriver.

Deploy During Pollen Season
Grip the handle on each sliding bar and draw the screens towards the centre of the opening — the opposing magnetic strips on the two sliding bars pull together and hold the screens closed. Pull each handle back to retract — the spring-loaded cassettes draw the mesh back with a smooth, braked return. Outside pollen season both screens stay fully retracted and protected inside their cassettes.

For hay fever sufferers, open patio and French doors during peak pollen months mean symptoms and compromise. Our roller pollen screen for double doors uses our finest available mesh across a twin cassette system — one cassette to each side of the door, screens pulling to the middle and holding together via opposing magnetic strips. Pollen-filtering protection across the full width of the aperture, with no centre post and no fixed hardware in the opening when the screens are retracted.
How the Pollen Mesh Works
Standard fly screen mesh blocks insects but its weave is too open to intercept fine pollen particles. Our pollen mesh uses a tighter construction that stops pollen while still permitting adequate airflow across the full width of the opening. The brushpile strips running along the top and bottom guides create a continuous seal along both horizontal edges — preventing pollen from entering above and below the mesh as well as through it. The opposing magnetic strips seal the two panels where they meet at the centre.
Honest About What a Pollen Screen Can and Can't Do
A pollen screen significantly reduces the amount of airborne pollen entering through a door. It does not eliminate pollen entirely from your home — pollen can still enter through other openings. For hay fever sufferers, reducing pollen through a wide open door can make a real practical difference to day-to-day comfort during peak season.
Centre Closure — No Centre Post
The two screens close against each other at the centre of the opening via opposing magnetic strips on the sliding bars. There is no fixed centre post — the full width of the door remains unobstructed when the screens are retracted, and when deployed there is no fixed structural element in the doorway.
The Sliding Bolt Option
An optional pair of sliding bolts can be added to one of the sliding bars, locking it into keepers fixed to the top and bottom guide. This holds one screen in the deployed position while the other is drawn across to close against it — making it easier to close the second screen cleanly. A second pair of sliding bolts can be added to the opposite bar, allowing both screens to be locked independently.
Screw Fix Only
The no-drill fixing option is not available with pollen mesh — screw fix is required for all pollen screen configurations.

Roller Pollen Screen for Double Door and Child Safety
Child Safe By Design - Handle on Sliding Bar: Roller Pollen Screen for Double Door can be operated using discrete handle on the sliding bar. We call this ‘child safe by design’ as there are no looped cords or chains to operate the blind.
