As a titan of the ecommerce and technology world - you can't help but take Amazon seriously with this venture into home control, and artificial inteligence. It's a voice activated speaker-come-home-control hub which not only plays music from your favourite music apps, but integrates and controls other devices and services from the "Internet of Things" - Philips Hue, Hive, Netatmo, Nest, tado°, Uber to name a few. With the rise of home automation, using Amazon Alexa as a smart blind opener has become increasingly popular. We're being asked rather a lot at the moment if it's possible to control our blinds using Smartthings by Samsung. Smartthings is a low(ish) cost home control system that is possible to configure yourself to control a number of compatible devices within the home. It is exclusively distributed through Amazon and Currys/PC World. It uses z-wave technology, but doesn't appear to support a great number of other products "out of the box". One of the latest additions to our product range are the new Harrier Easy Fit disposable cubicle curtains, an innovation aimed at slashing curtain replacement times by up to 80%, and therefore reducing costs. The key difference between standard disposable cubicle curtains with eyelets and the new Easy Fit disposable cubicle curtain, is the “Easy load glider” – which as you will see from the image below is a hanger that is built into the curtain and is used as an alternative to cubicle curtain hooks. The Easy load glider, loads directly into the Curtain Hook Removal point – which are now a standard feature of many cubicle tracking systems. The Movatrack system is a perfect example of this.

I guess, like many people, eleven years ago I had no idea of the importance in the World's economic merry-go-round of a product that existed to keep flies out of a room. Out of your kitchen, out of your house, out of your life. Of course I had seen the old swinging screen insect screen doors on American movies. But I had never experienced the tranquil feeling they give to the dwellers inside. Protecting them from the misery of mosquitos and the like. There weren't any similar conditions where I came from and never have been and never will be. Will there?

NewBlinds.co.uk only offers made to measure blinds, and there is a reason for this. The alternative, ready made blinds, have A LOT of disadvantages! So why do other internet retailers continue to promote ready made blinds? Simple - because they can offer lower prices due to ready made blinds being mass produced and a lower quality. Where does this leave you, the customer? Well, these retailers expect you to buy the next size up and either trim the blinds your self or fit them as they are. If you do leave them as they are, they have to be fitted around the recess which is not making the best use of your sill space. The only alternative is to trim them down to the size of your recess manually. This can be very time consuming and fiddly, and can often leave an unprofessional finish.
