Blackout Roller Blinds
For those looking to darken their rooms by reducing light levels, our blackout roller blinds are a great solution. Available in a soft palette of popular colours, our durable blackout fabrics will block light, significantly lowering light levels. They can be operated by a simple side-chain or, for the ultimate convenience, using an in-built motor. Note that some light will seep around the edges of the blind.

Roller Blinds and Child Safety
Child Safe - Continuous Loop Chain with Child Safety Anchor:
As standard, this product is operated with a continuous loop of chain (in metal) which is secured to the wall/fixing surface with a child safety anchor. To comply with child safety legislation, the chain will be manufactured at 1 metre in length. Child safety devices have been fully tested in compliance with British safety standard EN13120. You will find details of how to install the devices in the installation instructions. Please contact our friendly customer service team if you need any further advice. Please note that beds, cots and other items of furniture should not be positioned next to operating chain, so that the chain remains out of reach of small children.
Child Safe by Design - Motorised Operation (Optional Extra):
As an optional extra, you can upgrade your blind so that it is operated using an integrated Bluetooth-enabled motor. The motor is powered using an in-built rechargeable battery. The motor is Bluetooth-enabled, which means it can be operated using an app on an Android or iOS phone or by using a simple radio handset. We call this ‘Child Safe by Design’ as there are no looped cords or chains required to operate the blind.

For this reason, we are working towards all of our products being cordless or chain-free and therefore “safe by design”. Where it is not yet feasible to supply a product that is “safe by design”, we ensure that the product is fully compliant with Child Safety legislation.
