Further Notes:
- Free Sampling Service: Please take advantage of our free sampling service by clicking the "Order Free Sample" button.
- Wood grain variation: As wooden venetian blinds are made using a natural product there will be a degree of variation in the shading and grain type on each blind and between the supplied blind and free samples.
- Alignment and colour match: Each blind is individually assembled using wooden slats, which may vary in shade from batch to batch, being a natural product. If you are purchasing multiple blinds for an installation where colour matching and alignment of slats are important (for example a bay window), please let us know before you place your order (customer.services@newblinds.co.uk) and we will alert the fabrication team to your requirements.
- High Moisture: We do not recommend a wood product for areas of high moisture such as bathrooms or wet rooms as it may lead to issues over time. Consider faux wood blinds as an alternative.
- Stack height: Guidance relating to stack height (thickness of stacked slats and headrail) when the blind is fully raised is available in the technical specification documentation
- Ladder spacing: Guidance relating to the spacing of ladder cords for different blind widths is available in the technical specification documentation

Electric Wooden Blinds and Child Safety
Child Safe By Design - Motorised Operation: Electric Wooden Blinds can be operated using an integrated motor. We call this ‘Child Safe by design’ as there are no looped cords or chains required to operate the blind.
About Child Safety
At newblinds.co.uk, child safety is of paramount importance. If left hanging freely, chains and cords from blinds can pose a direct threat to children. For this reason, we are working towards all of our products being cord-less or chain-free and therefore “safe by design”.
Where it is not yet feasible to supply a product that is “safe by design”, we ensure that the product is fully compliant with Child Safety legislation. Not only do we ensure that, where necessary, our products are supplied/fitted with child safety cleats/devices, but we also supply, free of charge, these items to our previous customers.
