So why do other internet retailers continue to promote ready made blinds? Simple - because they can offer lower prices due to ready made blinds being mass produced and a lower quality.
Where does this leave you, the customer? Well, these retailers expect you to buy the next size up and either trim the blinds your self or fit them as they are. If you do leave them as they are, they have to be fitted around the recess which is not making the best use of your sill space. The only alternative is to trim them down to the size of your recess manually. This can be very time consuming and fiddly, and can often leave an unprofessional finish.

Made to measure blinds do not have to be trimmed down. Providing that you submit the correct measurements you should receive blinds that fit perfectly onto your windows. This doesn’t necessarily mean longer lead times though.
