Pet owners - Enjoy the fresh air this summer, keep insects at bay with Pet Resistant Fly Screens!

Pet owners - Do you want to keep cooling air circling around your house in summer? Have you thought about fly screens but worry about your cats climbing up them (see our photo!!) and tearing them to shreds or your dogs simply running through them and causing untold damage to your new insect screens?  Worry no more, once again NewBlinds.co.uk has saved the day.

Summer is coming our customers want to enjoy the pleasure of having a supply of fresh air entering the house, whether it is through a door or window. However, open windows or doors can mean that houses often get over run by flies, wasps, bees and other small posts as it gives them the chance to enter.

Our fly screens are a solution to this problem! We have many different types for windows and doors for every budget – roller insect screens, fixed framed fly screens, chain link screens and even simple mesh screens which are held in place by Velcro.

However, we still found that pet owners were found wanting, especially those with very active and exuberant cats or dogs!  From small tears in the mesh caused by an intrepid kitten to a screen being torn to shreds by a rampant Rottweiler!

Here at NewBlinds.co.uk, we understand that even though our standard fly screens are a fantastic solution for most homes, their mesh simply isn’t strong enough to withstand the treatment it can get from some pets. As a result in the worst cases, we have found customers’ having to replace the mesh as it has been damaged.

Our solution - Pet screens! Or to give their full title “Pet Resistent fly screens”. They are basically flyscreens for windows and doors which contain specially designed extra-strong tear-resistant mesh called TuffScreen.

Pet mesh is a heavy duty vynl coated polyester mesh. It is 3 times stronger than standard fly screen mesh. It is resistant to pets, tears and punctures. It is thicker than standard mesh but is still flexible which makes it ideal for use in our most popular fly screen systems.

“But will Pet Screens keep my pet inside?” we hear you asking. To date, many of our customers happily use our standard fly screen mesh to keep smaller pets indoors whilst allowing fresh air to circulate. The primary function of pet screen mesh is to keep out insects with the added benefit of being more durable than standard mesh, in the face of pets, large and small.

However, let's not forget that pets can be determined and strong creatures, as our picture shows! So, if you want to be 100% sure that your pet stays inside, we would always recommend using supplementary measures.

You can buy pet screens for windows and doors online from NewBlinds.co.uk along with many other types of flyscreens and mesh types! So, Pet Owners – what are you waiting for – Enjoy Fresh Air Today – Keep Insects at Bay!
