Bifold door blinds - Perfect Fit Suitability Blog!

We are often asked if Perfect Fit Blinds are suitable for aluminium bi-fold doors or aluminium window frames. These stunning no-drill bead-fit blinds by Louvolite are more commonly associated with PVCu windows, doors and conservatories.

However, it's a little known fact that they can also be installed on aluminium bifold doors. In fact, the recently launched anthracite grey (RAL7016) frame colour is a popular colour with buyers of aluminium door and window systems making Perfect Fit, the Perfect Match - the ideal blinds for bifold doors!

There are a number of points that you should check to see if your frames are compatable with Perfect Fit blinds.

1) Are your bi-fold doors or window frames double glazed?
2) Are they internally beaded?
3) Is the seal between the beading and the glass made of rubber?
4) Is your bead depth, 18mm or more?

If the answer to these questions is YES, then Perfect Fit Blinds should be compatible with your aluminium folding doors or windows, but it would also be useful to check the following:

5) Will the Perfect Fit frame prevent your door system from folding properly?
6) Is it possible to slide the brackets between the glass and the seal?

In terms of point 5, Perfect Fit Roller blinds in particular have a fascia that is quite bulky, and you may be better selecting the pleated or venetian version which have a slimmer profile frame all of the way around the blind.

If you wish, you can order sample of the frame profile and a test bracket, so you can check both points 5 and 6. White Perfect Fit Frame Samples and Anthracite Grey Perfect Fit frame samples can be ordered by following the links. You can also down load the technical specification of the Perfect Fit System from the "documents" section at the bottom of each fabric page.

One of the great positives of the Perfect Fit System is that it requires no drilling or screwing to be installed. Many new window and door system have warranties that would be voided if the frame is pierced with screws. Perfect Fit blinds simple clip fit to brackets which slide between the rubber gasket and the glass, behind the beading, so no drilling is required - giving you peace of mind that the warranty on those expensive new doors remains intact. Once installed, perfect fit blinds look like an integral part of the window or door system.

You can buy Perfect Fit Blinds online at Newblinds.co.uk, in a range of blind types, and frame colours, including the new Anthacite Grey frame, making them extremely popular bi fold door blinds. Simply click here of follow the link above to view our range.

Perfect Fit Roller Blinds with Anthracite Grey Frames for Bi-fold Doors

For those of you who aren't familiar with Perfect Fit blinds - they are a clip fit blind system that is really easy to install and requires no drilling or screwing. Blinds fitted directly to the frame of the window and door using brackets that sllide between the rubber gasket and the glass, behind the beading. Because they are available with frames in a range of colours, once installed these window blinds simply look like an integral part of the door. Once installed, Perfect Fit Blinds are child-safe in that they have no pull cords or control chains, like those used on other blind types such as roman blinds. They can be open and closed using a discrete tab handle on the hem bar. The fantastic thing about this blind system is that within the frame, you can choose to have one of 6 different blind types - roller blinds, pleated or duette blinds, vision blinds (a.k.a. night and day), aluminium venetian or wooden venetian blinds. In terms of light control and privacy, this choice of blind types makes Perfect Fit a very versitile blind system.
